Philippians 4:19
I. What does it mean to have your needs supplied? ® Philippians 4:19
What does this verse of scripture really mean? God has the power to supply every need you have as a human in order that you may survive inasmuch as He desires to make Himself known as the One with the power to provide. God made all things. God owns all things. God gives to us or allows us to have according to what we need in ways that show His love for us. But what of the riches that are mentioned? Is God speaking of millions of dollars? Perhaps He will allow us to win the lottery. People do pray they will win the lottery. Is this a prayer consistent with the teachings of God? If a person won two hundred million dollars in the lottery, would he say that God gave him these riches? No, he would tell people that he got lucky and won the lottery without any mention of God.
God has the power and the desire to provide for our every need. There are needs we have that money cannot buy.
